Table d'hôte

Language is embodied in both culture and body, its power determined by strength in numbers, political dynamics, and economics. Silverware, thwarted from its initial purpose, inspires power and riches, love and war, fear and danger. It’s with kitchen artillery found around the table, then, that I attempt to understand the divisions between us. Oublier…, sikiso…, Don’t forget, Il y a infinies…, Signe de vie — words in French, English, and Cree interrogate loss and a search for identity.
